About Sophia Platt
Sophia Platt is an investor and entrepreneur, and the Founding Partner of Bridge Funding Global, an investment platform and marketplace that connects family offices and institutional investors with emerging fund managers.
Since co-founding Bridge in 2019, Sophia has built relationships with a global network of family offices and institutional allocators across North America, Asia and Europe. At Bridge she translates what allocators care about into how programs are designed, so that fund managers gain direct insight into how LPs evaluate and partner with emerging managers. Bridge's LP and GP matching program has resulted in more than 70 LP commitments into women-led funds, and its annual summit brings together LPs and GPs from five continents. In 2026 she led Bridge's expansion into Asia, including the Asia LP Summit in Singapore.
Investing
Alongside Bridge, Sophia invests personally across private credit, venture and real estate, with a particular focus on US real estate private credit. She writes about what family offices and institutional investors are allocating to, most recently for Grit Daily.
AI, healthcare and longevity
Sophia is passionate about healthcare, longevity and the potential of AI to reshape medicine. She follows innovation across prevention, diagnostics and precision medicine, and the companies working toward longer, healthier lives.
Women and capital
Sophia believes more women should have the knowledge, confidence and community to become active allocators of capital. She co-founded LINA (Legacy and Impact for Next Gen Allocators), an international community for women in family offices, dedicated to empowering female allocators and fostering intergenerational impact.
Beyond work
Sophia mentors with Forster Nation, a California nonprofit supporting youth from foster care through mentorship and education. Earlier in her career she worked in consulting for the social enterprise sector, advising mission-driven organizations on growth and sustainability. She is fluent in four languages, is a former competitive tennis player, and lives in Los Angeles.
